Success: Learning From the Best

Success doesn’t come easy.

It’s not a magic pill and there’s no fast track to success; you have to go through the entire process. Sure enough, the road to success is not simple and more often than not, it will be a bumpy ride.

If you really want to succeed and achieve your goals, you need to put your life in perspective, evaluate your priorities, set your goals accordingly, and get down to business of achieving them.

But what if you have the chance of learning what success is all about from someone who epitomizes success? Don’t the best athletes and teams have a coaching staff that keeps them on the right track? Didn’t Aristotle study under Plato before becoming the great philosopher that we know him today?

Having a personal success coach is something like that. To be the best and to achieve success, you must learn from the best and from someone who has been there and done that. Emulating the attitudes for success, learning the techniques these successful people use, and listening to what they have to say about success and how to achieve it are the secrets to success. If you want to read more about learning from the Masters then head on over to Creating Success.

Sure, on your own, you can achieve success, no question about that. But the valuable wisdom you gain from people who are successful can help reduce the possibility of failure especially when you learn about the mistakes they have made and how they dealt with these setbacks. You can avoid making the same mistakes, the same wrong turns in the road to success. You will be ready because you are well-prepared for these possibilities and you know how to deal with them.

We actually do this everyday. Remember, the fruitcake your Aunt brought last Christmas?
Scrumptious, wasn’t it? Your Aunt wasn’t in the least modest when she said the fruit cake was a culinary success and you will heartily agree to that (after eating more than enough helpings, you most likely will). The recipe was a long-standing family tradition which becomes better with each generation as we learned that 1/3 cup of dark rum is better than ½ cup of bourbon. We learn from the cooking disasters of the past.

That’s how success is. You learn from the best, you emulate their habits and attitudes, you learn about their mistakes and how to cope with them, and you are now ready to embark on your own journey to success.

Success doesn’t come easy but when you have learned from the best, you can also be the best and be a success!
